Brabham Oil Company

In 1929, C.M. Brabham opened a small wholesale petroleum business as a reseller for Colonial Oil Company of Savannah, Georgia. In 1940 Brabham became a commissioned agent for American Oil Company of Baltimore, Maryland, a subsidiary of Standard Oil of Indiana.

In 1958, Brabham's son-in-law, Bob McCully joined him in the business. Two years later, the company switched to Phillips Petroleum Company as a wholesale jobber.
